From Basics to Redesigning Photosynthesis

Once initiated by scientists from Nordic countries, the Nordic Photosynthesis Congress takes place every two years and has over the past decades become an important forum for life scientists interested in structural and functional basics of photosynthesis, regulation, acclimation and primary production of photosynthetic organisms.

14th Nordic Photosynthesis Congress will take place in Turku, Finland. The program of NPC14 covers structures and evolution of photosynthetic complexes, regulation and acclimation of photosynthesis, as well as bioengineering for improvement of photosynthetic yield and production of valuable biocompounds. Plenary lectures will be given by recognized international speakers. The major part of the congress program will be composed of the presentations of Nordic participants including both senior scientists and young researchers.

The NPC14 congress venue will be Virastotalo (Aitiopaikka) located by the River Aura in Turku. You can reach Turku through the flights from Stockholm and Helsinki or by ferries from Stockholm. There are also hourly bus and train connections from Helsinki to Turku. Turku and Virastotalo will provide a great venue for a memorable congress.
